The homeowners wanted to brighten and modernize their 1990s kitchen and family room while creating a more open, functional space for gathering and entertaining. Removing the dated kitchen peninsula opened the layout, while relocating the dining area allowed for a larger central island to become the heart of the home. Custom details, including a reclaimed wood hood with brass accents, a built-in coffee and spirits bar, and barn-style pantry doors, brought warmth and character to the space. A new ceiling detail completed the transformation.
